Prep for your wax

Exfoliate Gently & Avoid Moisturizers and Oils

A day or two before your appointment, gently exfoliate the area to remove dead skin cells—this helps prevent ingrown hairs and allows the wax to grip better. On the day of your appointment, skip lotions, oils, and heavy creams, as they can create a barrier and interfere with the results.

Stay Hydrated & Avoid Caffeine and Alcohol

Stay well-hydrated before your appointment, as healthy skin can make waxing feel a little more comfortable. At the same time, try to avoid caffeine and alcohol, since both can increase skin sensitivity and make the experience less pleasant.

Wear Comfortable Clothing

Loose clothing reduces friction and irritation after your appointment.

Soothe the Skin & Avoid Heat and Sweat

After your wax, soothe the skin with a gentle, fragrance-free moisturizer or aloe vera to calm any irritation. For the next 24–48 hours, avoid heat and sweat by skipping hot showers, saunas, and intense workouts, as these can lead to irritation or breakouts.

No Touching or Scratching & Avoid Sun Exposure

Avoid touching, scratching, or picking at the freshly waxed area, as this can cause irritation or even infection. Since waxed skin is extra sensitive, it’s also best to avoid direct sunlight and tanning beds for at least 24 hours to protect your skin.

Exfoliate After 48 Hours & Avoid Harsh Products

About 2–3 days after your wax, gently exfoliate the area to help prevent ingrown hairs, but avoid harsh products like retinoids, acids, or strong scrubs during this time to keep your skin calm and healthy.
